"cleaning...who knows how many knives."

see if the kitchen had silverware instead of plasticware this crisis would be avoided entirely. but i refuse to use one knife for my pb and another knife for my j. i'm saving the goddamn world.

if i put the pb on first how do you not get pb resin in the jelly?

one knife, two jars, two pieces of toast?
squintygirl
squintygirl on Oct 29 '09 at 12:15pm
PB in the jelly jar is unsafe, and harder to scoop out than jelly in the PB jar.

you ALWAYS put the jelly on the toast first because jelly wipes off the knife much more easily than peanut butter does.

i thought this was well known.

the thought of spreading peanut butter on top of jam makes me squirm.
tracerbullet
   tracerbullet on Oct 29 '09 at 12:21pm
why would you ever spread peanut butter on top of jelly? there are two slices of bread for a reason.
littlem
littlem on Oct 29 '09 at 12:21pm
wipe the peanut butter off in yer undies. nobody will notice it's not yer usual skidmark.
shirtflirt
shirtflirt on Oct 29 '09 at 12:21pm
it doesn't go on top are you people INSANE?

two slices of bread
one gets pb
the other gets jelly/jam
shirtflirt
shirtflirt on Oct 29 '09 at 12:21pm
what color peanut butter do you buy lilem?
littlem
littlem on Oct 29 '09 at 12:21pm
i put a think layer of peanybutter on both slices of bread, so the jelly doesn't leak through
courtney pie
courtney pie on Oct 29 '09 at 12:22pm
it's practically impossible to put pb on jelly... pb first, wipe knife, jelly, lick knife. done.
littlem
littlem on Oct 29 '09 at 12:22pm

the grape jam is easier to spread than the jelly
courtney pie
courtney pie on Oct 29 '09 at 12:23pm
i apply pb on one slice and jelly on the other... unless i'm eating crackers. then they go on one cracker and i top off with a second cracker

Hmmm. Actually, a tough one. But I'mma have to go with peanut butter in the jelly, since jelly is often spread on other sstuff where you don't want peanut butter, but is also a natural complement to it.
ginetteginette
   ginetteginette on Oct 29 '09 at 12:26pm
ohhhhhhhhhh. hahahaha. whenever i make peanut butter sandwiches i just fold the bread over itself.
shirtflirt
shirtflirt on Oct 29 '09 at 12:26pm
is it still a sandwich if there's only one piece of bread?

that's one for plato

dana plato
ginetteginette
   ginetteginette on Oct 29 '09 at 12:28pm
but i fold two pieces, so it's the same amount. i just don't need to cut the sandwich in half because it's two folds. it's good.
shirtflirt
shirtflirt on Oct 29 '09 at 12:29pm
two folds = two sandwiches made of one piece of bread each though?
