As I was coming out of Inner Vision tattoo the other day, I saw some painfully overstyled hipster chick wearing this shirt and gave her the 'hey, nice shirt, Threadless etc'.
She stared at me and asked "Threadless? What's that?"

Hipsters are so silly.

ive seen my fair share of Threadless weaers on the street, and have only approached one at a Beck show sporting the "Breaking Up is Hard To Do" tee like a week after it came out. I told him of my sincere love for this site as well, and he came back with a frightened, "One of my friends is big into the site, and gets like a hundred tees for free somehow, and gave me this one." Damn, I need a Threadless bud like that! I didnt have time to ask him who this magical Threadhead is, so fess up now, whoever you are! I think one day we all dream of finding the loves of our life by meeting the "Hay, nice Threadless!" way.

btw- i love that you have "hell" on your last.fm chart! I haven't heard that song since M2 (now known as MTV2) was broadcasted for free at my college when it first started out in the bowels of MTV's NYC complex, and my roomate and i pretty much left the channel on all day! That video was played roughly 15 times a day, along with a Cibo Matto vid and No Doubt's "Trapped in a box." Ah...the golden days of M2.

no one acknowledges me or even looks my way even when we're passing each other on the street and we're both wearing Threadless..

So far I've seen "I have never been to NY", "Magical Powers", "Pandamonium", the hungry bunnies... and I'm sure there's more.

I've often had good experiences chatting to other threadlessers, but also had a few blank stares. There are quite a few fakes around in the UK, so a lot of folk have no idea what threadless is at all, even though they are wearing the designs.

too many people wear threadless around here for anyone to bother acknowledging it.

I was waiting in line for Fast Food Nation when a girl behind me walks up wearing Bicycle Built For Zoo, and I was like "I love your Threadless shirt" (I was wearing My Pet Human) and she replies:
"ohh, this? I took it from a friend who spends her whole life on the Internet"

Lame I must say. However, I've gotten a few friends addicted to Threadless, so now it's slowly spreading amongst my social circles.

damn....do ANY of us have a heart-warming story of mutual Threadless-wearing love to enlighten us with, before i just stay stationary, mute, and look down at my shoes whenever i see a fellow Threadhead walking around in the great outdoors?!?!?

I went to a Flaming Lips concert wearing You Sunk My Battleship, and the guy in front of me had Heroes in an Art Shell. We had a pretty decent Threadless-oriented conversation.

and now i can finally rest knowing that Threadless comraderie exists in this cold, fucked-up Abercrombie world we live in. Thank you strep! I'm off to black friday wearing my Lost a Wheel shirt seeing if that bedazzles the crowd into letting me up to the front!

All about me
I'm a make-up artist. I stopped being a graphic designer when I realised that mucking about with lipstick paid better.
