I need help.

Question for you guys.

A friend of mine commited suicide last thursday and it has devastated everyone who knew him. On Friday, my school let kids who were hurting over Chris' death sit in the media center if they felt they were unable to attend class. A girl in my grade, Cati, who didn't even know Chris went to the media center anyways. As a friend of Chris' I was deeply offended, but didn't feel strong enough to confront her. Now, I just found out she's planning on attending his funeral tomorrow! I really just want to walk up to her at school tomorrow and beat the shit out of her, but I know that's probably not the best way to go about things. I refuse to stand by and let her use my friend's death for her own personal gain, but I don't know how to confront her.

What should I do?

I'm so sorry about your friend ... do what you think is the right thing to do ... hard to give someone advice at this kind of time and not sound condescending. Probably beating the shit out of her wouldn't help, but its probably what I'd want to do too. I'd probably wait a couple of days and cool off ... concentrate on making sure YOU're okay. That's all I've got. Again, sorry, that's terrible.

she may be hurt somehow, I don't know, but I still don't think it's right for her to be at his funeral.

My guess is that she just wants to get out of class.

i'd say pay her no mind as you really have no idea how she feels or what her reasoning is. it could be that she didn't know him but had a crush on him, or perhaps even scarier, that she is considering suicider herself and needs to see ppl's reactions.

in any case, i'm so sorry about the loss.

and all i can say about this other girl is dont worry bout her.

her motives may not be right but in the long run is she really what you should be worrying bout right now?

she doesnt matter.

just make sure you and everyone that was close to him are all ok.
