I'm upgrading my computer at the end of the week, and I figured I'd clean my case since it's filthy and currently empty. I've done about all I can with dust rags and the like, but there's still a ton of dust and dirt in all the nooks and crannies in the drive bay / front panel.

Everything is out except for the front panel [power switch + 2 USB ports + firewire port], which I can't remove, and the cables that connect that panel to the motherboard.

I'd like to just run some water over the entire thing and flush out all the crap. Am I correct in thinking that this will be ok if I let it dry out completely before running any electricity through it? Or am I an idiot who's about to ruin the front panel of his computer?

Soak it in a bath of bleach. Then wipe it down with Lysol.

Spray with Febreze if desired.

Throw the whole computer into the Atlantic Ocean. Then retrieve it.
