cloudy with a chance of meatballs

wouldnt it be great if it rained and snowed your favorite foods? wouldnt it be convenient? or would it be terrifying?

set in the sleepy little town of chewandswallow, cloudy with a chance of meatballs deals with these issues as a well written, beautifully illustrated book which lets us see exactly what it would be like if it was snowing mashed potatoes or pouring down with pea soup.

i used to love love love this book as a kid, and ive been thinking about it lately...just a moment ago i read that sony pictures is going to be releasing this story in the form of an animated film in 2009... i hope they dont ruin it

*gasp!* that is one of my all-time favorite kid's books. my dad and i read it so often that the pages are coming out and the spine is all tattered. i can't believe they are making a movie. do you know what kind of animation they are going to use? has any info been released?

yeah, i think i read it about as much as you did, maybe more... i heard they were gonna use traditional animation, but the article i read made it sound like they weren't even in preproduction yet... it sounded like they added to the plot, since it would be hard to fill a whole movie with just... raining food... but i hope the animation looks anything like the book did

I already told you this was my all time favorite book. I have a feeling it will be very hard not to ruin it by making it into a movie. I'm a tough critic. They better impress me.
