I want to live in a Victorian style house

What's a fanciful thing you want to do when you grow up?

I've always liked to have a library/study room with walls of shelves, a big fireplace, and fancy chairs.

But that's juts the dream dream house.
I don't know what I'd want in my regular dream house.

Yes, Mike! Ever since I was little it's been one of my dreams to have a library like Beast's.

(from Beauty and The Beast)

I'm just going to repeat what you said- those houses are so amazing, i think that's my new dream.

I would like to live in Edward scissorhand's mansion too. If i had some work done on the roof and tidied up a bit.

I'd also like to travel the world preferrably in a hot air ballon- Phyllius Fogg style

Yes of course! - then we can go back and live in a big victorian mansion with all your awesome pictures on the walls when we are weary of traveling:)

OR you could combine the 2 and float around in a hot air balloon victorian mansion ala UP.

I just want a porch.
Khol

A live-in maid would be ace, but any time I've gone to visit extended family in Pakistan (aka Chocolatefacestan) where it's pretty common to have servants and guards and drivers, I've always found it to be so super awkward.

I also want a Shetland pony

And every since reading The Odyssey, I've always wanted a house that has a tree growing in the middle of it. It would be even better if I can build a room around it.

And that sounds like a wonderful plan, B7Ben! :D

part of me wants to move to somewhere like Nebraska or wherever there is just miles of plains and sit on my front porch in a rocking chair

I don't know, Omair. The last time I read it was a couple years ago? Is it in vogue now?

I totally know what you mean, Ryan.
I'd also love to buy a sailboat and just float in the ocean reading books and drinking chocolate milk. I'd occasionally port somewhere to get more supplies but for the majority of the time I just want to live in a boat.

I want a typical little Australian house like this one:

SuperRyan
SuperRyan on Oct 02 '09 at 10:45pm
I would totally drive that car.
SuperRyan

REAL.
Khol
Khol on Oct 02 '09 at 10:47pm
Also, if I'm to ever have children I'm going to make sure they all end up like this:
Once upon a time... from Capucha on Vimeo.

And I'm going to have them only speak in French, regardless of which country we're living in and regardless of the fact that my own French is horrible.

I want to be able to grow a beard.

SuperRyan

Khol
Khol on Oct 03 '09 at 3:42pm
What are Pretty Patties?

Also, I'm going to build a treehouse

And I've also determined that if I ever have a son, I'm going to name him Thaddeus.
SuperRyan
SuperRyan on Oct 03 '09 at 3:45pm
Spongebob invented Pretty Patties and they made millions of dollars and Mr. Krabs bought the business only to have it crash moments later.

I want stairs that lead up to the roof so I can just go up there to stargaze or watch fireworks or just breathe in some air.

All on my own.
Khol
Khol on Oct 03 '09 at 3:53pm
Oh man, Pretty Patties do look delicious!

But he totally stole the idea from the French.

That sounds so nice, Alvin.
I love stargazing. I used to do it all the time with my father when I was little - he even taught me all the major constellations. But now there is too much light pollution where I currently live :(
Steve The Great
Steve The Great on Oct 03 '09 at 3:55pm
ugh light pollution :(

I really really want to astronomize and stuff but I can't.
Chipmnk

Yeah, I love staring into the sky. I'm hoping I live somewhere sort of high up, away from city lights.

i want everything pictured in this blog

especially that treehouse with the spiral staircase

and that adorable little french girl named capucine. i require if i ever have a daughter that she has huge eyes and only speak to me in french. so what if i won't understand it -- IT'LL BE ADORABLE!

I just want an older place not too far from a city with hardwood floors, a fireplace, a big enough living room, and a yard.

I just want a home.

That's the right mindset, Kevin!
And I swear, I think I'm going to have to get knocked up and make sure it's a boy just so I can name him Thaddeus. I'm obsessed with that name now.
I need to ensure that nobody in my family is going to steal it for their own kid.

Aw, Becca, I know what you mean.
As much as I love the city, I really don't think I want to live in one for the rest of my life.
I would love love love to live on a non-working farm. Like I did when I was growing up in Canada.
