The Ice Pirates is loaded with cheese, though you might think otherwise from the title.

solaris and gattacca are both kinda good ideas (well considering solaris is a rip) but the movies never quite evolve... into good movies

_ alien I (but I like II and III, but III would have been fucking off the hook except for the stupid part where as she is falling into the molten lead the aliens bursts out... chesssyyyy)

_ blade runner

_ fifth elemnet (yeah, I liked it, so what)

_ chronicles of Riddick (some of Pitch Black)

Red Dawn is not sci fi but I love that flick, really good cast. the ending is rather wack... suddenly they are complete tards who don't hear or know how to hide from russian gun ships

Per Danger on May 26 '06 at 5:49pm
Of uncheesy sci-fi, Blade Runner is par none, well maybe 2001, but it's a bit trippy.

there's no cheese in Event Horizon

Per Danger on May 26 '06 at 5:50pm
Red Dawn goes beyond genre limitations, anything with Patrick Swayze and a resistance is sci-fi.
Robsoul
   Robsoul on May 26 '06 at 5:50pm

o jees, yes, 2001 most definitely and alien I. both are brilliant.
Dwarfthrower

Speaking of Pirates and cheese...
Go download the porn movie called "Pirates" even if you've never watched a porno flick before(0%) you need to see this one.
This porno has more story than sex. It has CGI and all that shit too. Oh, and the silicone chested star tries to be philosophical but horrrrribly fails.

I'm completely serious.
Download it.

"The Last Starfighter" is easily the finest piece of science-fiction ever made. Followed closely by "Enemy Mine", of course.
Per Danger
Per Danger on May 26 '06 at 5:54pm
tesco I was the other day going through the filmography of Cynthia Rothrock as I'm expecting Undefeatable to arrive here any day by now.
Despite her skills, she does some silly ass films for some reason.

I dig The Last Starfighter, it was mad at its time.

Isn't Cynthia Rothrock, like... Fifty? Nothing wrong with that, of course, but it would be nice to get some younger action-chicks on the scene...

Well, truthfully, I think ol' Lou Gosset Jr. kicks ass in just about anything. He was the Sam Jackson of the seventies.

sorry to get off track, I'm just still in shock after seeing it. To get back on track, whats that sci-fi film with Rutger Haur where it's a prison planet, and everyone wears bombs around their necks? That is extreme cheese.
Per Danger
Per Danger on May 26 '06 at 6:00pm
Predator 2 is crap, anything with Danny Glover is a gleaming turd.

"Robsoul, at 5:57pm on May 26, 2006

I'll have to check on that, if it really falls under martial arts or slapstick comedy.
Aristarchus
Aristarchus on May 26 '06 at 6:01pm
I can't think of a Rutger Hauer film like that off the top of my head, but that sounds a little like that horrible piece of shit "No Escape" with Ray Liotta...
