That's right: I eat meat and I love it. I've never felt more alive, more full of energy, stronger of bone and muscle than I have since I started eating meat. And the best part is that I will never clutter the blogs with a post about being vegan/vegetarian/herbivorous!

I'm curious: Are there any other carnivores out there? What are your meat-eating experiences?

*This blog was started when I noticed that there were fourteen blogs out there with "vegan" in the title and twenty-five with "vegetarian," but only four blogs with "carnivore" and none with "meat eater".

I don't have anything against vegans/vegetarians, really... Most of them are cute, and a lot of them are tasty when prepared with the right combination of sauce and spices.

Well I had some porkchops tonight but I only ate a little because there was too much fat. Does that count?

Mmm... Porkchops are yummy. I like 'em breaded with an egg, dried breadcrumbs, and served with applesauce.

I totally agree. Why is everyone talking about their eating habits? It's really irritating. To be honest I don't care what you eat, as long as it's not destroying the environment. I mean, chances are if you're eating meat it's from some factory farm that's completely obliterating the earth, but the fact that it's MEAT doesn't matter at all.

WEll, meat just makes me tired. I mean, it takes an awful amount of work to chew through that stuff. Besides that. Having strands of meat stuck between your teeth is pretty much the worst feeling in the world.

Better meat than celery string!

And my meat is free-range and organic (as are my eggs). I'm a carnivore, but I'm not a monster!

Yeah that's great. I really support responsible consumption.

I eat bison as my red meat, from a local ranch. The owner delivers to me for free when she comes into town to visit her grandkids. It's higher in iron and lower in fat than beef, organic and an important part of the plains ecosystem.

I had some in spaghetti sauce this very evening.

I am an omnivore. I eat plants and meat!

Most of our beef comes from my uncle's friends farm, so that's pretty cool. The chickens we eat (and most of the turkey) are "grown" and killed about 15 minutes from where I live as well. We buy a majority of our bread and other baked goods from a local bakery (that may be going out of business soon :( ) It's actually most of our vegetables and fruits that come from so far away. We try to do the whole farmer's market thing, but it's very inconvenient.

I'm so glad that we're into serious farmers market season now. Over the winter there are a few greenhouses that keep up at the market that I have to drive to, but now there will be an outdoor market a half an hour walk away. Yay!

I'm eating asparagus in a hundred different ways from now until early June. Oh baby.

cassiepaige on May 12 '07 at 10:20pm
I love farmer's markets.

Everyone is nice and the produce tastes a lot better. The crappy part is that it's 1/2 hour away, and it's only in the early morning once or twice a week.

Who..cares? Like, for real. If people want to talk about their eating habits, good on them. If you genuinely want to talk about meat, go for it. But it's ridiculous just to be contrary.

It's the same sentiment in different moods. Both vastly prefer people don't just talk shit about the stuff in their mouths, but one is a lot more accepting. One just had its motherfucking headphones took.

meat is good but I suggest feeding and fattening ur meat first and then killing it urself. If u wouldnt slaughter it u shouldn't be eating it!! Thats my motto. Hence why I wont eat rabbit.

All about me

I don't come here as often as I used to. The designs printed in the last several months have done little for me, and with the new shirt prices I'm buying where I get a bit more bang for my buck. Besides, most of the people I used to blog with are gone, and I hardly knew them at all; making new "friends" just seems a troubling waste of time.
