Tired of assigning scores to shirts all willy-nilly, I decided to develop a set of standards:

0 - Blasphemy / Atrocious.
No time or effort whatsoever
terrible execution
probably made me cringe
awful art
likely to involve a poorly drawn heart on the left breast

1 - Bad
You put SOME effort in, but the shirt is still a flop
nothing happening visually
very poor art
the idea was probably doomed to begin with
little true originality

2 - Mediocre
Some artistic talent displayed
Perhaps a poor idea with good execution, or vice versa
Not bad, but definitely not printworthy

3 - Good
Excellent in either execution or idea, but probably lacking in at
least one of the aforementioned aspects.
Possibly printworthy
has some sort of recognizable and thought-out style
I probably wouldn't wear it, but others likely would

4 - Excellent
If this were printed (and I have store credit left over) I would likely
get this.
Has a well-defined style.
Strong in all aspects: idea, style, execution, composition, colors, etc.
Original.
stands out among all other designs before it; I will remember this one.

5 - Reserved: Amazing.
This is the best shirt I have seen here in many weeks. There is something
very special about this shirt that totally blew me away. Print print
print.
Few 5's are ever given. A true 5 is really more of an unattainable ideal.

What's your scoring scale?

Threadless should actually post this scale as the standard for people to follow.

My scale's pretty close to this, except I usually reserve my 0's for something either plagiarized or something so bad I would rather throw a baby in a river than see it printed.
