Around about April, I entered some stuff to a local gallery/coffeehouse owned by a friend. It was all local comic book art. Anyhow, my other buddy, Ken, invited up his friend to the show to hawk some of his goodies.
That guy? His name is Chris. He's a local guy who has had quite a bit of success in both indie and mainstream comics. He writes for the Simpson comics, gang. Now, way back when I was in high school, we went to a Con where he was a guest. I showed him my art, he loved it, wanted me to send him more. And I didn't. I chickened out. And here we are, meeting again. Fate, right? And Chris still likes my stuff. He has two story ideas brewing in his head he says my style would fit perfectly. I finally got back in touch with him the other day, and he's as excited about it all as I am! His words, "I really dig your drawing style and think that it deserves to be showcased where someone can see it big time. " Squeal with delight with me! Eee! So, I might actually get published. Really really published. Exciting! You'll be kept in the loop, kids.
