Got my SAT scores in...

Since I posted a blog about my SATs the night before I took them, I figured I might as well post my scores...

Critical Reading - 570 (71%)
Math - 600 (74%)
Writing - 550 (68%)
Multiple Choice - 58 (score range: 20-80)
Essay - 6 (score range: 2-12)

TOTAL: 1720

is that good? i don't understand the SATs ever since they changed them a few years ago. back in my day, 1600 was the highest you could get.

1600 used to be almost impossible to receive.

They don't care about the writing section - which blows for me, that's my only perfect section.

hmrp i got a 12 on the essay but wiritng ended up being my weakest section.. i got a 2090 over all but what I got back the other day was m y sat IIs which blew

Writing always blows, but colleges don't pay that much attention to it since it is new. I don't know how to rate how well I did on my SAT IIs, I've been searching on the internet for averages, but I can't find any. Which ones did you take, helladelighful?

How are you getting the SAT conversions from the 1600 scale to the 2400 scale? I'm just a bit curious about mine.

Yeah, I know the breakdown, but it's not exactly like they just added a section... it used to be math and verbal, I don't know if that exactly corresponds to the reading section?

kate, the way to do it would be the equivalent of like adding the score from a writing SAT II to your 1600 score

Bah, I don't remember what I got on my SAT II writing... the regular SAT was a 1530

I hate the stupid writing section. What a waste.. I don't even know what the hell they want. I wrote something cohesive, I made a good argument, and they gave me a nine. My friend who only wrote HALF of an essay got a fucking 11! When I took it freshman year, my essay was awful and I didn't even get to finish and I got an 8. So, basically, someone gave me the exact same score this year.

Rant rant rant fuck you college board.
