I'm heading your way on the 17th, and staying through the 22nd.
Would be cool if we could all grab a drink one night. Or something? I've never been. Let's go out! about Natural Selection
I hate to be a booger... I'm just excited :]http://www.flickr.com/groups/lessthread/discuss/72157604592415878/ Thanks for using me as a model, and congrats on the print!
Okay. I'm blogging so I don't quit on my Threadcake this year.
I've already baked 18, 8" cakes.. and have more in the oven as I type. This cake is going to be the death of me. I have until midnight tomorrow, yes? ____________________ Maybe I should have bailed before my cake did. So sad.. I guess there's always next year? :[ ![]() ps. I must have adjusted the pictures too much when trying to edit out bad kitchen lighting.. but my monster matched perfectly when I mixed the fondant. Actually, one of the hardest parts was getting him that perfect shade of pastel, yet hot pink.. with a hint of purple. lol
Some of you know what's been going on in my life.
Not in the mood to spill the whole story right now.. I'm just feeling extra emotional today. For anyone else who has lost a loved one, or struggled with an addiction.. my heart is with you. ps. If you can find the acoustic version of this song.. it's worth a listen. -- found it
I'm setting up a website for my photography, but trying to come up with a domain is insane. Everything is taken, or too expensive to buy from someone else.
I don't need anything ridiculous. Something easy to remember or explain by word of mouth.. Something with my name maybe? Melissa Jo Fischer. I've been using "emjay" as my watermark, but apparently it's taken.. *sigh I need your creativity! My brain is fried.. Places to check availability: register.com godaddy.com
So yesterday was quite possible the best day!
SHORT VERSION: Went to see Joshua Radin last night in Tempe. Met up with his bass player after the show, and he invited us ON the tour bus! We hung out with them until maybe 2am, & Jonny Flaugher asked for my number, and invited me to their show in Tuscon tonight!! He may have kissed me as well. ;] EEEEEEEEEEE! So awesome! ----------------------------------------------------------- You probably don't care about details.... but in case you do, here is the Longer version: Like I said.. my sister, her friend and I went to see Joshua Radin perform in Tempe last night. Got there early to buy tickets at the door (second in line), but come to find that they are SOLD OUT. We've seen him 5 times, and have never run in to this problem. We started talking with the people in line behind us, who were in the same boat. Basically, one of them walked up to the security guard, and flirted her way into scoring some tickets for all of us. THEN! Even with technical difficulties, the show was amazing.. because HE is amazing. His bass player, Jonny Flaugher, was making eye contact/smiling at us the whole time, and my sister ended up having a song dedicated to her. After the show, we sat on stage, and Jonny came over to see if any of us wanted to go outside for a smoke. Now, I've quit smoking, but I totally joined him. After meeting back up with my sister, who was now talking to the opener (Jesse Harris.. look him up, he's awesome too ) - Jonny said we should head to the bar. Both my sister and her friend are under age, so jokingly she said 'why don't we just go on the bus instead?' - He agreed!!! We hung out on the tour bus until like 2 am! It was just us girls, Joshua, Meiko, Jonny, Jesse, and the merch guy. lol Josh saw a picture of my daughter and said "god. she's beautiful." and later commented that he wished he had a five year old, but only if she was as beautiful as mine. :D He is so sweet, and totally chill. Jonny and I went out for a smoke, and ended up making out. Totally high school, lol. It was so much fun. He walked me to our car, and asked for my number. Then invited me to their show tonight in Tuscon. I'm going. YAY!
I was going to make a list of all the fantastic memories I've had on Threadless..
but we all know how awesome this place is. Keep on rockin, fellow bloggers. Maybe I'll stick around for another few years :]
She's got a mean left hook. Keep talking shit.. I dare you
So, I'm buying a shirt for a friend this Christmas. I'm curious.. Let's say I get him a $5 shirt. If he decides he wants to return it, and the sale is over, does he have to pay the difference? I know he'll have to pay shipping, but how does that work? If the shirt he wants is over $15, and I only paid $5? I don't want to rip anyone off here..
*note: I wanted to Get him Mob Musicians, but they're sold out. Anyone willing to part with a guys XL? |
