This has finally just arrived in the post, and to me it looks pretty badly printed - really rough texture, white lines around it... just doesn't look right...

Does anyone else have this shirt and can let me know if theirs looks OK?

Ta.

Looking at the design on the product page it looks like it has outlines of flowers that are a grayish color. Your white lines aren't like those?

hehe, no not those, white outlines around the actual flowers - looks a bit out of rego

my guess is the white was used as a backing so as to make those colors appear brighter on the black shirt. I guess a tiny bit of misregistration would cause some issues.

exactly what I was thinking mister - just a bummer. It looks messy and its such a great design.

I guess it's my fault for the artwork. I've never done a simulated process print, so wasn't sure whether to really bump up the dpi. I think I'm gonna stick to colour separated designs from now on.

it seems like there have been a few of these blogs now about simulated process t-shirts being weird and i noticed some weird spotting on this guy :

i think it just comes with the territory, and printing light colours on dark probably makes it even harder because there needs to be a layer of white first.

it still looks good to me though, the one i bought i mean, and the tiny spots wouldn't keep me from buying another sim-process shirt in the future, that's for sure.

Yeah - it will be more about the white undercoat of ink. It happens!

i wish they could do real silkscreen gradients instead of the simulated stuff, but i guess it's not really a viable process when you're making so many.
it would be neat though because then every shirt would be a bit different.

Duuuuuude Garo ain't your fault! Im so happy that it got printed!

This is more of a "hmmm... I waited ages for this shirt to arrive and the printing doesn't look good, and I'm bummed out, has anyone else had this problem" kind of blawg.

Thanks for the comments dude.

*just deals with it*
