I normally don't post much in the blogs, but I justed wanted to note this.

I was reading an article in Rolling Stone (aug 9, 2007) and there is an article bashing people who hunt online predators called "The New American Witch Hunt". You can find the article online if you wish to read it. I, for one, do not agree with the article. It uses ad hominem attacks and jumps to tons of conclusions with minimal evidence (haha, listen to me sounding all lawyerish with my fancy jargin ... ahem).

When describing one of head people who participe in finding online predators, they describe her shirt as "two cars crashing into each other under the symbol ctrl + z." I think it is in bad taste on Rolling Stone's behalf to say this person is "a computer geek's fantasy female." They must be assuming the signifigance of the shirt is the keyboard function, but in reality the signifigance is its connection to this website. It doesn't say she is a geek, it says she is a fan of awsome t-shirts.

Maybe I am being too critical, but I think it's a bad move by Rolling Stone. You would think they would be supportive of art.
