So, i might be setting myself up to be martyred with this post, but im gonna say it anyways...

Does anyone else think that a lot of the Threadless Select tees arent really all that impressive or special? So far there has only been one that i liked a lot (i dont remember the name, it had a depiction of a humoncolus on it though), and even that wasnt worth $25 or whayever i This new House of Freaks one i feel is pretty crappy personally. Anybody else sympathize with that, or is it all me?

I like probably half the Selects. To me, $25 is pretty reasonable for a good tshirt too.

I have a big problem with selects.

That is that I love and want them all and they cost so much more. Hehe. No really I think they're have been some amazing selects, a few I haven't liked that much but for the most part i've loved them

I love some of the select tees, and hate others. I am really not a fan of the fruit one that came out friday or whenever, but I love love love midwest.
$25 is not that bad for a well designed t-shirt, at places like abercombie, you pay more than that to be a walking advertisement.

Well all the selects (or almost every one) is designed by a professional designer who makes their living doing graphics. And to me, $25 is pretty reasonable for something special... U dare you to go to urban outfitters or anywhere else and find something as unique for less $$.

You may not like the design but each select is special and can cost more to produce. Special ink.. two sided designs.... a larger than normal print area... metallic foiling... and more than just 4 colors are some of the features of past selects. And those alone would justify a higher price since it's more expensive to make.

I understand the reasons why they are more expensive, and like i said i really liked that one that had the humonculus on it a lot. But i hardly ever pay $25 for a shirt. (not that i could if i wanted to, cause im pretty much a broke college student). And as far as the abercrombie comparison, its not really a good one, because people buy abercrombie shirts to conform to what others think is cool, as opposed to a threadless shirt where most people seem to buy the shirt to be individual and to confrom to thier own idea of what is cool, if only for a second (flowers in the attic). So long story shirt, ive got almost no love for the Select line, and was just curious if anyone else felt that these shirts that were by "professional graphic designers" really arent any more impressive than some of the stuff that people submit. And as far as it being by a "professional," in the field of graphic design, that doesnt mean much to me unless they are defining professional by a degree and not merely by the fact that a person has made their profession graphic design.

Most of them are not my thing, but I understand what they are trying to do with them. I also think that they are worth more money, due to the additional colours and better shirt quality. I quite like the most recent one, but the design would look bad on boobs, so I'm not going to buy it.
