This design was inspired by my sheer lazyness. Some might assume that this contraption would make toast (which it would); but the reality is that I would set it all up and the bread would go stale allowing me to butter the bread as if it were toast.

I've said to much...

I saw a guy wearing this on the bus once. I pointed at him and said "what's that contraption do, make toast?" and laughed.

He blushed and got off the bus.

that's a good story. I like the fact that you've managed to embarrass someone wearing my shirt.

I know I'm late to the party. But I dig this in some very real ways.

I may seem like sort of a dork for saying so, but I got this tee when it came out originally and it's pretty much been my favorite shirt ever since and the fact that there is going to be a sequel makes me giddy.

I'm glad it makes you giddy!! I put a lot of work into the sequel and I'm glad someone is already excited about it.

I get a bit of the ole "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" outta this. Anyone else see the likeness. I want it definitely!

Reminds me of the PCgame, The Incredible Machine (TIM), 8-10 years ago..

Sorry to be a pedant, but it wouldn't work.

The magnifying glasses at the end aren't pointed at anything. the light from the centre of the globe, when you line it up through the little magnifying glasses, points up at the ring that holds the weight that will drop on the press-down-button-thing on the toaster. This wouldn't make the weight drop... would it?

What would make the toast drop in, as well?

Is it supposed that the light will burn through the string holding the bread (which is impossibly tied around the bread, mind you).

Great shirt, though. Very cool.

But it doesn't work...

no way man it totally works. the light through the magnifying glass first breaks the bread string, (which is wrapped around the bread in a bizarre, but possible way) then it breaks the string from which the weight is hanging (it's pointed at the string, not the ring). why would he make such a complicated design that works then half-ass the most important part?

my concern is that the string will fall in the toaster as well and start a fire.

and ullavik, I totally thought this might be inspired by The Incredible Machine. I loooooved that game!
