Loves Childhood WIP *UPDATED*

Edit: I made a few changes (Thanks for all the help!), and colored it with some watercolors. I removed the fish from the line, made the line less straight, and added some shadow behind the kid and cat to give the basket a little more depth.

Anymore suggestions? Thanks again!

the fishing line is too stiff. with the fish moving around like that, the line shouldn't be so ridged.

also i don't even know if it needs further colouring. i think it's really strong being mostly b/w!

Great style and detail, love the characters! Maybe just an empty hook, so the fish are happily jumping around rather than struggling to surrvive? Thinking happy thoughts here :P

Maybe I will just have an empty hook like quister suggested, and I had considered keeping it gray scale, ginette. Or at least using muted colors to help the fish pop more.

Very cool! Great style, distinct, mixing up the line and water color. "Sky Fishing", "Catching Rainbows", something like that?

I'm probably going to keep the title as is, since this is for the childhood competition, and this is how I imagined rainbow trout when I was younger.
