[STAFF] Halftones - How small is too small?
I just saw Spires' blog on halftones, and I was wondering if the staff or anyone else knows exactly how small we can make halftones in a design? I know the rules say "no tiny halftones," but that's a bit vague. And with shirts like 4 Color Swatch Palette having been printed, it's even harder to figure out. So, is there an "official" size that halftones can be? Anyone? Anyone?

they've actually printed things that had details that there too small to print, so they had to modify the design. I think they did that with Ma Lil Outlaws.

one of ron's patterns in king's cobra was sacrificed, i think the spots on 'something we guess not but yes' was changed, and some distressings have been changed.



i'd take ron's figure for halftone frequency near the bottom of that blog.

i was surprised that they didn't do anything to the distress over Rorschach Hits the Disco because I thought the distress might have been too tiny. Some of those linese are ridiculously thin, but they managed to pull it off.



As far as I can tell, it's all there.
