Has anyone seen Funny People? Because I've seen the ad and it really doesn't seem at all funny.

There's this bit where there's what I presume is a German doctor and the ad completely panders to Adam Sandler's schtick of making fun of his accent, but (at least in this ad) you don't even hear the guy speak!

And then I saw this clip in an Eric Bana interview where his wife is making fun of his accent.

So, yeah, accents are funny I guess.

I don't know it just doesn't really look "Judd Apatow" to me.

Its a bit more mature than his earlier work. If you're a fan of him, then watch it. Don't expect too much of the joke-after-joke spitfire of his other movies. This one is a bit more serious. Its still very funny, though the story as a whole is a bit unbalanced. Its a good look into the life of comedians.

Not really sure what to think of this. It looks potentially cool. And I'm a closet Denzel Washington fan.

I haven't seen George Clooney in anything in a while. I'm intrigued.

I'm pretty much down for any Asian action film.

Not really sure what to say about this one. It doesn't seem as great as its predecessors but that's just from the trailer.

I saw Surrogates. It was unbelievably bad. IT was so bad, I couldn't stop laughing.

I saw It Might Get Loud. It was pretty good. Not as good as I'd hoped though. The film was filled with a lot of archival footage from led zeppelin, U2 and The White Stripes. I kinda got the feeling that Jack White and the Edge didn't click and that the whole conversation didn't go as well as the producers had planned. Subsequentally, there wasn't as much conversation and a lot more archival filler. Jack White was, by far, the most entertaining aspect of the film.

I'm tempted to see Surrogates just because it was filmed here and I know a lot of the extras... probably not enough reason.

I don't think it will.

Tideland was such a disappointment.
But I am really intrigued by The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. Although, I'm surprised that hasn't been getting that much hype as Dark Knight did. Perhaps that has to do with the fact that Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell completed Heath Ledger's role...it was sweet though how all three of those actors gave the money they made for this movie to Heath Ledger's daughter.
Anyways, I'm glad Lionsgate is finally releasing it.

The graphical advance in Toy Story 3 is amazing. And Pixar has never failed to impress me, even when I didn't have faith in them.

I heard there were some flaws in Parnassus. But I'll see it anyways for the eye candy and Tom Waits.

Bjork scares most people. Personally, I want her to have my children, and they can run around like crazy little bastards in Iceland. And I won't live with them, because Bjork is already married, but once I move to Iceland I can live down the street and visit them on weekends, and Bjork will call me on the telephone to remind me to bring their boots when I come down, but she won't just say it, she'll fucking sing it into the phone at me!

hannabear on Dec 09 '06 at 10:16pm
they should make a blogger's version of word where everything just translates. like 'lol' could become 'they laughed uproariously, as if they'd been friends for years.'

They should hand out oversized novelty vaginas at baseball games. You could use them to catch foul balls.
