Everything that used to be posted here has already come out. Some of them sucked, some of them didn't.

Moving on...

Zooey Deschanel is indeed gorgeous.

And District 9 does seem pretty neat, but on August 14th I'll be going to see It Might Get Loud.
Maybe I'll see District 9 on the 15th ;)

has anyone actually seen 500 days of summer? i'm dying to see it, but it's IMPOSSIBLE to find (limited release).

i hope district 9 is awesome, given neil and peter ditched the halo movie for it.

because it's been dropped before Evan! I know once before by me, and maybe even several times prior to that.

Yeah, I saw it in a free preview screening. It should be getting wider releases as the weeks pass. The release schedule is here. Your best bet is to check any of the smaller, indie theaters in your area.

I love trailers too!
When I saw Half-Blood Prince, the best part was when the Where The Wild Things Are trailer showed. It was the first time I saw it on the big screen.

I thought it was beautiful and sweet and real. It had some wonderful shots, and Joseph Gordon Levitt totally takes the show.

The dialogue is actually pretty funny, but I really do not like the style of the animation.

It's sort of creepy looking.

every year we need a couple sci fi films that have tons of potential and then dont deliver at all

As far as sci-fi films for the rest of the year go, I have extremely high hopes for District 9 and Avatar (especially Avatar).

SO I totally just saw "Moon" on monday, and it was amazing. I already knew Sam Rockwell was fantastic, but holy shit, he blew me away in this one. It's pretty much just him going crazy and Kevin Spacey as the voice of his computer helper for the entire movie, but it's still so good. I highly recommend seeing it whenever it comes to a theater near you.

I like that Surrogates and Avatar have a similar premise (substituting human bodies with artificial bodies) but are completely different.

Also, was it necessary to put that the Cohen brothers did all of those movies? As if people didn't know that already. The best thing about that trailer is how deep that lady's voice is.

Bjork scares most people. Personally, I want her to have my children, and they can run around like crazy little bastards in Iceland. And I won't live with them, because Bjork is already married, but once I move to Iceland I can live down the street and visit them on weekends, and Bjork will call me on the telephone to remind me to bring their boots when I come down, but she won't just say it, she'll fucking sing it into the phone at me!

hannabear on Dec 09 '06 at 10:16pm
they should make a blogger's version of word where everything just translates. like 'lol' could become 'they laughed uproariously, as if they'd been friends for years.'

Jackanapes mk.II on Jul 31 '07 at 1:57pm
They should hand out oversized novelty vaginas at baseball games. You could use them to catch foul balls.
