I'm a bad scorer :(

I've scored 8717 subs with and average of 1.03. My default score is 1. I give very few 5 and only $5 if I def will buy.

i'm a bad scorer but there's a justice , the best score i get is 2.92, and none of my 28 design have been printed…

I give zeros and ones.. but then I start to feel bad about it.. and just about that time, a shirt deserving of a 3 comes around.. but like you, I will only click the "I'd buy it" button if I really would.

I gave your Babylon a 3, which, as you can see, is high for me.

I don't believe in zeros unless I think absolutely no effort has gone into it or it offends me. I think the least I can give is a 1 for the effort. I gave zeros early on but decided against them for this reason.

Yeah i don't give zero no more too. But i'm using too much the 1.

I try not to let first impressions rule, try to give each a decent look. It's hard lately trying to score everything, seems more and more go up every day.

I do try to score all subs, usually am successful.

Chelly , I feel that as long as I'm consistent with my voting , it doesn't matter. I reserve my high scores for stuff that knocks me out, that I'd buy because that's what it's all about.

It's not that I'm particularly harsh when I'm voting, but it's that I have my own system I go by. The truth is, most of the designs I vote on, I wouldn't wear. I definitely don't do the 5 or 0 only thing; I hate when people do that. Basically, if I think the design is decent, it at least gets a 3 from me.

No I give out 1 for most all, a 3 for something I like but I wouldn't wear and a $5 for something I'd def buy.

I've only scored 108 out of that 8700 as $5. My average is a little skewed by my stupid 0 habit when I first joined.

OUch ! I saw 0,39 on your page Mindtrance… it's very low for 6812 sub scored. You just score what you hate ?

.39 - let me explain. In all fairness I used to just click 0 back when to get on to the next one. There wasn't a skip fuction a until the last 2 years or so, and I don't score much anymore.



I'm old I've been here since 2001. I don't do that anymore though.

Ok… the skip button is very important. i use it sometimes when i don't know what to think about a design.

yea, when I first joined I scored everyday, now I just score ones from the blogs and loves usually.

It's hard to score every design… so sometimes i score poor design and don't see good ones. That's why i have a low average too.

Well, like I said, I had a bad zero habit at the start so almost a third of my scores were zeros. Only about 1000 are 3 and up. Guess I am harsh.

at like 14000 with a 2.95 avg I thnk im pretty easy going

I try not to give out any 0's if at all possible. 1-3 reflect varying levels of artistic competency, 4/5 worthy of a print but wouldn't buy it. $4 would buy possibly / if improved. $5 would definitely buy.

I decided to only vote and score on designs that I like. I don't see any point on voting or commenting on a design that I don't care for.

Well that's a choice… i like to comment design that i didn't like too much… no use for me to say "i gave you 5$". I like when i can speak about a design and sometime i change my mind and my score when i read the blog.

I did't know that once you score you can go back and change it? If I feel I have to comment on something that I don't like I at least try to make it constructive to help the artist out. I don't get when people have to leave comments like "I don't like the colors" or something like that. Unless your a professor of design or illustration a comment like that really has no value. I guess everyone feels they have to give there 2 cents. Like on my design that I currently have up. The last comment came from a 15 year old. I've been doing design and illustration professionally for 10 years so that comment has no value to me. So what's the point?

I score designs similar to how we were scored or "graded" in school. I would not have made it through grade school if my teachers had the mentality of a lot of the scorers/voters on this site. Just my 2.38 cents.

hmm. herky, that is an excellent point. for a yr i graded state aptitude tests and it may have set up a good standard to base my votes.

you're right chelly, that's why I rarely give out 1's or zeros (basically only for plagiarised works), our computers have enough of those already.
