Gallery 1988 is an amazing pop-culture themed gallery in Los Angeles (technically, there are 2 locations now: Melrose and Venice). You might have seen the video of Olly Moss' solo show there in May. They hold a lot of group exhibits too, many of them featuring pieces by Mike Mitchell.
I've posted a few previews for shows that they were hosting in the past and recently received some sample images for their latest group exhibit, which is a tribute to the David Wain/Michael Showalter film, "Wet Hot American Summer" to commemorate the 10 year anniversary of the movie. As I was posting them, I realized that one of the pieces contributed was from Threadless artist, Justin White (aka: Jublin). Sorry if it's already been posted but, I wanted to put something up about it on here, just in case. If you're in the Los Angeles area, the opening for the show is tonight and will be hosted by director/co-writer, David Wain, himself. Here's Jublin's piece: ![]() Here's the trailer to the film, for anyone that's never seen it: and... Here is a link for anyone that wants to see more info/images for the event, HERE.
