That album definitely lived up to the hype. It's generally a track from that or the new Sufjan Stevens that wind up stuck in my head when I wake up.

the first time i listened to it, i wasn't very impressed. but i just stuck it on repeat, and it grew and grew on me until i was completely obsessed with it.

Yeah, the same exact thing happened to me. It has points that sounded either too poppy or too boring at first, until I realized that there was a lot more to it and it was actually pretty brilliant. It works it's way into your skull pretty well

once i started actually listening to the lyrics is when i really started to love it. i actually just put it on at work.

There was a lot of great music this year; I agree The Suburbs was one of the highlights.

Also note worthy were Sufjan Stephens, Sparkle Horse and Dangermouse, The Black Keys, Janell Monae, and Beach House.

Threadless is my on again off again obsession this year.

I think that the Black Keys album was severely overlooked in the second half of the year, but I listened to it as much as anything. It's definitely a great release
