lol, this place always pops up in the 'dangerous meals' of whatever health e-mail list I'm on. But this is outside of New York, no? So you don't have to disclose that even the salads are over 2,000 calories with enough fat to bring down a sumo wrestler?

I guess I don't know 100%- but the one around me...EVERY time I go there I get a terrible throbbing front head ache- MSG is the only thing I can attribute it to.

here's a hint: learn the menu as fast as possible and work to-go (if they have it at your location). you'll make more tips there and it's easy as hell. once you're a server avoid slow times (at my location it was lunch... every day). work a friday/saturday night as a server and you'll be making bank.

also, the food is really good (omfg, the bread is amazing). there were very few things there that i disliked. experiment. mix and match. you'll become a pro in no time. good luck!!

Thanks everyone for the congrats!! I'm still keeping my etsy and will still be going to school. So I hope I can manage it all--especially in the fall (i'z be takin' a language course on top of my full-time classes).

Dan - I figured, but I'm sure when they do start training me as a server, they'll be putting me on at like 2pm, which is uber sucky time. But since I don't have any waitressing experience, it's fine. I'd rather learn when there are 3 people in the restaurant vs packed on Fri/Sat night.

I think you have to learn how to write your name upside down using crayons to be a server. I'm not joking, thats one thing i remember about Mac Grill...... besides their AWESOME bread. And the Penne Rustica is YUMM.

If its just a magic bag of "bread mix" just add water.... or frozen bread stuff.....you could steal a case and I'd buy that instead. Its really that good.
