There is a spider that lives by the water fountain at work. He lives on his web on the back near the pipe and I greet him every time I get a drink of water. It makes me happy every time I go and see his web is filled with gnats! Oh does he love those gnats!

they look exactly like an australian Red Back Spider, except they have the red mark on the back, not the belly.

madshadow - It got on me because my Maa brought in a box from the shed and asked me to go through it. As I was going through it, I look down on my stomach and it was giant and ugly and crawling on me!

Plus we have tons of black widows in northern california.

it's totally safe here. i see spiders every day and i've never been bitten in 32 years.
