How much have you been paid for your artwork and what was it for? Just out of curiosity. Share if you like

I've never sold any of my artwork. I get too emotionally attached to it to give it to someone I don't know personally.

$1,875 for an unpublished childrens book...
always looking for freelance, but dont get as many projects as i would like. and i bid pretty low, [for professional level work]
and i guess my illustration/design is all over the place, as far as style/subjects...i think variety can really hurt saleability

no one wants to pay what stuff is worth, you either end up making below minimum wage, or just extremely undervalueing the skill/talent/education/training/practice that it took to get to the level of being able to create something in a short time.

^^ hate those *uckers who don't pay for this or that reason.

It happened to me once and since then I've learned to take an ammount of money up front and then the rest. plus I don't give them any concepts at hand unless they pay the full ammount cause the bastard who didn't pay me took my concepts gave them to some other designer/printer and made up his posters and catalagues without me knowing.
