So, a friend of mine is hiking the appalachian trail, he started in Georgia and is going to Maine. It amazes me every time I talk to him how many good people have helped him out along the way. I just received an e-mail from him explaining how a couple saw him and some fellow hikers at a bar and invited them to their house, bought them pizza and beer, let them shower and told them they could stay for the night and get a break from the heat. This is one of quite a few stories he has told me. Some people just go out to the trails and set-up grills and make food and hand out drinks for the hikers, for free. I'm glad there are still some good people in this world.
