Yes, it is nice to see a high average score on one of your designs but in the end that doesn't necessarily decide whether it gets printed or not. I think a lot of people that are new to the site (especially those that submit but never spend time in the forum) don't understand that the highest score doesn't always win. I saw a person I knew from high school submit a design for the pin up contest and she was asking people to vote for her design but also to vote zero on all the other submissions. I sent her a message explaining that she shouldn't do that and that it wouldn't actually help her get printed. Then I thought about how many people probably do this and it would be a lot of work to track them down and correct the problem. In the end, Threadless looks at all of the information before deciding whether or not to print a design, so I'm not convinced that it is a huge issue. Just my $.02 and some pocket lint.
