just stumbled over this place and at first glance seems to have a very similar concept to threadless! How odd....

There are plenty of Threadless clones around. £500 is a pretty decent prize though compared to some of the others.

£12.99 is $26.00

If you're American, I'd stick with Threadless. Hell, if you're a Brit I'd stick with Threadless.

I can get two t-shirt including delivery from the US for $41.00, which is £20.00.

That is one (very small) benefit of being Bitish!

why is a pound worth more than a dollar?

Legoman
Legoman on Apr 25 '07 at 12:53pm
lol you see thats not too bad of a price over here. shit like that is about that price normally over here. but threadless still cheaper :) even with international shipping on it!
Legoman

Because the American economy and in some respects, the businesses are not as strong as those in the UK.

if that was the case, whatever mesopotamia uses for currency would be the most valuable.

talk about a saturated market...I wonder how many of these shops will actually survive.

i thought it was becaus eengland pretty much owns all of there own oil and don't have to have there economy suffer because of oil prices like us oil sucking americans
Legoman
Legoman on Apr 25 '07 at 12:57pm
we do? im not sure. lol we pay a SHITload for petrol though its crazy :(
shirtflirt
shirtflirt on Apr 25 '07 at 12:58pm
technically, here in the states there's enough oil to go around

but the ties that bind can also restrict; our allegiance to saudi arabia isn't well publicized but it's there. and we pay for it.
atomic child
atomic child on Apr 25 '07 at 12:59pm
yeah we do....but they have such nice clothes over there
kevinwells
kevinwells on Apr 25 '07 at 12:59pm
how often does this dshirt place print new tees? 'cause i mean... they're paying $1000, most of the printed tees are listed as getting like 2/5 final scores, and with only 30ish votes

it might be pretty easy to get printed over there.... there's only 43 shirts in the running right now..
atomic child
atomic child on Apr 25 '07 at 1:00pm
yeah and they are pretty crappy compared to threadless designers
kevinwells
kevinwells on Apr 25 '07 at 1:02pm
'xactly... someone with talent should make some quick cash by getting in on the ground floor over there, before it dies or becomes a tougher competition
atomic child

i know i am thinking the same thing

i always think that whenever i hear about one of these new knockoff t-shirt competition sites.. it must be really hard to actually stay in business. but *shrugs*, competition is good for the consumer, right?
