Call 911, he's taking pictures again!

I've lived at this apartment complex for a few months and I had yet to go outside and explore my area. So today I was outside taking pictures.

I wasn't really finding much. I saw an ant hill though and tried to capture some ants busy at work.

Turns out that the ants here are either camera-shy or asleep.

After trying to photograph a spiderweb, I decided to head back home.

I see a cop car in the parking lot, nothing unusual as there's almost always one around. The officer asks if he could talk to me for a second.

Apparently a woman (whom he mentioned was "mentally handicapped") had called 911 and complained because I was taking pictures. "He's taking pictures of ants!"

Oh Rolling Hills, you have fascinating tenants. :D

He stopped me and asked me if had been taking pictures. (As if the big camera around my neck didn't give that away.)

I was surprised thought, he was actually quite nice. After I asked if he needed to see the pictures he told me no and suggested that I just stay away from the area behind the pool.

I have a Nikon D40x. It's awesome!

And yeah I dunno. It was strange. He said something like "I thought I'd ask you because I saw you had a camera." Didn't even ask if I lived here though.

I don't think I'll be going outside for pictures too often... there wasn't much to shoot. My backyard is more interesting. There's woods and a lake behind them.

Actually it's called saving Christmas and Birthday money in a bank account and not spending it. Heh.

My dad did help out with paying for some of it though.
