In other news...

I just adopted.....two cats!!
Yay! They're very sweet, I pick them up next saturday!
They're both male tabbies, but that wont stop me from naming them Lilo and Stitch! Pictures to follow. That is all.

hehe! :) I also always say to my sister that we should get a cat so we can just sit there and make lolcats all day. we are like the same person except that I can't sing.

One is 5 months and the other is about a year old. The older one is quite shy, he shall be lilo, and the younger feisty one will be stitch!

I love cats too, in fact my cat has decided to help me blog today, mostly by sleeping right next to my keyboard.

I recommend getting a laser pointer if you don't already have one, cats love to chase those things around for no apparent reason. The actual laser that is, not the pointer itself, the last sentence was a bit vague.

nice.. those are some nice looking kitty cats.

hopefully the shy one will get over it soon once he gets use to his new house and you.

I have had cats like that where they were kinda shy when we first got them... then a few days later they where following me about like puppies...

our cats enjoy a nice laser pointer toy and will chase it about..

the also have this scratching thing that is shaped like a ramp and it has a opening at the taller end with a mouse toy on a string in it... our cats go nutz for that thing..

my cats are hilarious

on sleeps on my pillow right on top of my head basically at night and the other right next to me.

then both of them get hella pissed if I have to get up for some reason at night...

Hehe..yeah one cat is definitely a lot more shy than the other one. But they're rescue cats so you don't know what kind of experience he's had with humans before. I'll get him to trust me though, the other one is already fussing round me and generally being cute! Yay!!

I also rescued my cat and I'm sad to say she's weird around people. She won't even get close to them, much less let them pet her. She loves me though, almost follows me around, even sits and meows when I'm away. I've never had a cat that's so dependent but I don't mind.

I guess my point is don't be too disappointed if they don't entirely grow out of their initial wierdness. They look like their adults and have already developed their personalities and unfortunately after that point they really don't change much. Don't get me wrong I love my cat, I just wish she'd be nice to other people once and a while, instead of running away like they're going to hurt her.

we have 2x cats

one my g/f adopted as a kitten and he has been loved and well cared for all his life (nobody has ever been mean to that cat)

he loves us and is super affectionate to me and my g/f

but HATES other people and hides and or growls at them when we have company

the other cat is a stray that had been living out on the streets and was in kinda rough shape when we got him.

but he LOVES everyone and when we have company is all up in their face looking to be petted and loved.

oh well... cats have their own distinct personalities that are apparently somewhat independent of their environment and experience.

True true..one is about 8/10 months old the other is 11 or so months old. They're gaining confidence all the time so it should be fine..even if one is shy is doesn't matter as long as I can give it a happy home.
They're really sweet with each other too which is really lovely to watch..must be getting soft in my old age!
