Hai Guys!! We are back... Sorry for the downtime.
Hi everyone.

As you noticed threadless took a little nap this evening. Apparently a truck jumped a railing and attacked our data center. I think their may have even been an explosion. I hope so.

Anyway - our servers are back online. and much happier.

I love it when this kind of thing happens.

I imagine Pear and ms. Mott sitting and staring blankly at the computer for several moments before crying out "FUCK! Now what am I going to do for seven hours?" before sitting and idly clicking the "refresh" button.

Luckily for us we have awesome rackspace peoples to help us figure out what was going on. sadly the truck killed the datacenter. but they got us up as fast as they could.

i guess we need to spread our "systems" around the world a bit more.

xnarx: it hasn't happened before. The insane thing is that we choose rackspace because they have thought of most every disaster and planned for it all. We want threadless to be up no matter what. We just didn't know that their weakness was throwing a truck at their transformer.

I used mediatemple for my hosting and they are insanely cool. Whenever the tech support guys call you dude, you know you've found a gem.
