what kind of movie are you into? i'd suggest Baraka, Amelie, Love Actually, Talladega Nights, and Duel.

Baraka - not really my kind of thing...

Amelie - Awesome movie, but I own it

Love Actually - Not so into the chic flicks

Talladega Nights - I also own

Duel - never heard of it and when i went to look it up there were several different movies by that name



I'm looking for classics that I may have missed, funny new movies, maybe a few action packed movies. I'm not real big on the huge Hollywood blockbusters... Although I watched We Own the Night the other day and that wasn't bad.

Something along the lines of Y Tu Mama Tambien, Amelie, Donnie Darko, The Salton Sea, Step Into Liquid, Superbad, Hot Rod, Magnolia, Green Street Hooligans, anything Kubrick, etc.

Sunshine.....you will like it a lot.

Duel is old. it's about a regular guy being chased by a maniac in a truck.

also i'd suggest Mad Max 2, Tremors, 12 Monkeys, Fight Club, Hannibal, Snatch, Leon the Professional, the Transporter, and Mr and Mrs Smith.

I think No country for old men is out...

of my recent view i really liked Hot Fuzz, Atonement, Planet Terror, Smoking Aces, Zodiac and The Prestige

Salvador is the only movie I can think of with something to do with South America & politics (except maybe Evita, but I doubt it's that).



If you like Amelie & Donnie Darko, you might like City of Lost Children.

I always recommend Story of Ricky, just in case anyone is missing out.

Smoking Aces is surprisingly entertaining if not predictable....City of Lost Children is incredible and The Prestige is just top notch filmmaking.

I saw a pretty good Brazilian movie about a kid who works as a photocopier operator and he starts counterfeiting money so he can impress a girl. But it's not the one you're thinking of because it had nothing to do with politics.
