Dude, we're gonna have to start drafting actors at the beginning of the year if this many people start keeping movie stats :)

Too funny Squeege, good luck with it!

Alvin, I'd think someone with a Barbie Doll for a Threadface would be crazy if they DIDN'T see Step 3d!

For the record, my friend and I agreed to only watch Step Up on the condition we could mock it's cheese the entire time!

Saw Black Swan again yesterday, just as good as the first time and I was able to notice more of the subtle hints of crazy this time around.

Snow day today! I'm watching Mamma Mia! before going to my other job. :/

Easy A

Eh. Was expecting it to be funnier than it was.

No Strings Attached

Loved it! Pretty standard rom-com but many laughs including some great referential ones.

Is No Strings Attached what you'd expect it to be or does it make good use of the R rating and had the trailer hide a lot of the good stuff? Also, $12?! That's 3D ticket prices. What;s the deal there?
And I really liked True Grit!

It's mostly what you'd expect. There were some jokes and funny situations that were not in the trailer, but not an incredible amount.

Nothing jumped out at me as offensive or really warranting an R rating. Clearly they show a fair bit of sex but it's not anywhere even near pornographic, the most naked person you see is just a butt I believe. There were two, possibly 3 uses of the f bomb and only a couple of "bitches" I can remember. There is an instance of pot smoking on screen and they mention shrooming. Idk, I guess those things are enough to rate it R. We got carded going into the movie. FAIL.

I KNOW about the $12! I'm so spoiled. We have an Optimum Rewards card, so I usually either see movies for free on Tuesdays, when I can, or pay only $7 for tickets any other day of the week. This theater was at big shopping mall, they've always been expensive, but I think it was $10 or $11 last time I was there.

I really liked True Grit even though I'm not a major western person. The little girl did a great job, especially for it being her first movie. And Jeff Bridges clearly is a win. Matt Damon annoyed me for some reason though, I can't put my finger on it.

New York, I Love You was just blah to me. It felt like nothing significant happened throughout the whole film.

I liked Brothers, but I wish it had ended differently. I am glad they didn't cheat although it would have been very easy to. Sam definitely creeped me out, especially how he was with his kids when he came back.

The Other Boleyn Girl - Thought it was just alright.

Garden State - Thoroughly enjoyed this one. Large reminded me a bit of Cameron from Ferris Bueller. I wasn't a huge fan of the ending, but at least there was some closure.

Léon: The Professional - Fantastic! Violent, but not overly gory. I watched the "extended European" version, didn't find it creepy as many people have labeled it.

Paris, Je T'aime - Same overall feeling as New York, I Love You. Since it's all separate stories, it felt like nothing developed. The Elijah Wood segment was strange to me.

V For Vendetta - Thumbs up. Potentially confusing parts but it was pretty easy to follow.

My Blueberry Nights - Meh.

Kill Bill Vol. 1 - Loved it. Will be watching Vol. 2 shortly!

Zombieland - Loved it! A few things bothered me that seemed impossible for them to actually happen, but was good otherwise.

Kill Bill Vol. 2 - Fantastic! OMFG the eyeball toe squish though. :/

What parts seemed impossible? Like meeting Bill Murray? Because I LOVED that part.

Like making the rides go while on them, or never running out of gas. Those might have been it. Billy Murray was GREAT though!

It Could Happen To You - I thought it was absolutely adorable. Happy ending! :)

Red - Saw previously in the theater, still loved it.

Winter's Bone - Felt a bit dragged out. I appreciated Rhee's persistence and strength.

The Kids Are All Right - Pretty meh. Did not like how it ended.

Anywhere But Here - Finally watched the whole film. I had seen parts a few times before. Enjoyed but wished Susan Sarandon's character had been more stable.

Beautiful Girls - Thoroughly decent.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show - LOVED LOVED LOVED it. So much cheese, but so fantastic!

Exit Through the Gift Shop - It was pretty interesting to see the artists in the process of putting their work up. The Mister Brainwash part dragged for me.

Rent - YES PLEASE!

(500) Days of Summer - Easy to follow even though the time line bounced about a lot. Loved Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Zooey Deschanel irked me a bit, not sure if it was the role or just her in general. It was nice to see Chloe Moretz in a "normal" role.

The Social Network - Ehhh. Did not particularly enjoy it.

We Are Marshall - I cried. Twice. I am a baby.

Just Go With It - I am so glad I didn't pay money to see this movie. I laughed once or twice during the whole film, can not remember what I even laughed at.

Dogtooth - It is not a movie I would feel the need to watch again, but I did not dislike it. Regarding the mind screw I feel it was just more "is that really happening?" than "I have no idea what is going on!". The sexual relationships were definitely unsettling and I just had a general feeling of uneasiness throughout the entire film with the brainwashing, captivity etc.

Mars Attacks! - Wonderfully ridiculous.

The King's Speech - Thought it was very well acted, a bit boring at times, but had a bunch of good one liners. Really enjoyed Geoffrey Rush's character.

Let Me In - Preferred the original but this was a good remake. I liked that it was set in the 80's.

The Fighter - A bit dragged out. I was glad everything worked out in the end. OMG the sisters though! So RIDICULOUS!

I did not laugh a single time during Hall Pass. Maybe I was grumpy, maybe it was just awful.
