i would LOVE this tee, but the girly is on silver and every silver shirt i buy, weird blotchy pink patches appear as soon as its washed. shame, as i actually love the silver shirts and this design :(

hey, that happened to me too- the blotchy patches on silver.. i just ordered a new silver shirt, hoping it was only a one-time thing, but now that you're saying the same thing i'm getting worried. i love this design too. really beautiful.... 'tis a shame.

That IS weird about the splotches... I haven't had any problems (yet) with washing my silver colored shirts. Could it be the other clothing items you're washing it with?

Or the type of washing powder you're using maybe?

Hey gals-

We've had a few other reported incidents with some tees and the weird pink stain issues. We think it might be due to the chemicals used to treat the fabric that the shirts are made out of, and for whatever reason they just react strangely with some personal products or sweat.

Just as a suggestion, it might help to wash the shirt before you wear it (cold water, low tumble or lay flat to dry to prevent shrinkage). That might take out any excess chemical that may be left on the shirt so as to avoid another pink incident.

Never happened with the silver shirt I already own... but I'll be sure to wash this one before I wear it!

Would you need to wash it without soap for the first go? Because seratonin's saying it the blotches appear after washing...

sonmi, that's sexy, kinda! Did you end up switching brands of deoderant? Suddenly everyone's making the super sheer kind so I guess that would help.

jacobsauraus, i also have a green shirt that has a teeny yellow blotch on it that only appeared after i had washed and worn it 4-5 times..
thanks for the suggestion hello.kristen, i'll try washing my tees as soon as i get them, i just get so excited when they arrive i have to put them on straight away lol. each subsequent wash after wearing of my silver shirts produces even more pink, but only at the front near the collar, none in the under-arm or back, i must have some potent sweat!

I had that happen with a purple shirt once, not threadless, not even a T. The front of the shirt up by the collar just started turning pink, after months of wearing and washing. I threw it in some RIT dye remover so I could redye it, and it faded and uniformed the color over the whole shirt to a purplish gray (although the detail stitching did come out completely white). I liked the outcome so much that I chose not to actually dye it. If you want to chance the design on the shirt, it's something to think about (maybe try it out on similarly printed t-shirt you don't like first).

Hey all, I've had the same problem with a LOT of my tee shirts. I initially thought I was getting bleach in my laundry detergent, but finally realized that it was because of my facewash. I use Proactiv and the final step is a lotion that includes Benzoyl Peroxide. After I made sure that it was completely dry and tried not to get it too low on my neck, sure enough the discolorations stopped. Hope this helps!

I washed my shirt before I wore it. No blotchy problems. I love this shirt and got many compliments the day I wore it.

i've had this problem on a ton of my shirts and always assumed it was the crappy place i was washing them. but, lately, there's been a few blogs here and there about this.

i guess it is a comfort to know i'm not alone, but a bummer to have stains on your favorite shirts.
