about E.T.A.
Is a shirt just better when you put a bunch of random stuff on it? Original yes. But is it really that great looking? no. Random stuff that makes no sense doesnt make it good.

It's not random. It's called design.

look. art doesnt need a manifesto. just think about it this way: what does a package go through before it can get to you? i mean, you did see the package, right?

as long as it looks good why should it matter?

I think the first poster was a tad bit harsh, but still, this shirt makes alot of sense and its cool.

It looks like it would be really heavy on your chest so I wouldn't purchase it.

So it's to do with packages/the postal service?

To be honest, I never caught on to what it was about either. Enlighten me?

A bad week for the select line.

This is one of the best Select tees so far. I mean everyone has their own opinions on what designs are good, but even if you don't like the design, the shirt fits the definition of a Select tee more than any previous designs. It uses the high quality AA shirt as a canvas for the design, letting the designer put the design anywhere, which is all over the front of this shirt AND also on the sleeve. They pushed the boundaries on this shirt even more when they used the new printing technique to make the ink actually part of the shirt, and the cherry on top is the foil metallic print of the silver wheel. This shirt is what a Select tee is supposed to be, and it owns.

and Puterboy, it wouldn't be heavy on your chest since they printed it with their advanced technique. You would barely be able to feel the design on the shirt.

Ok thank you for the info corneli. You have now justified why select tees are expensive . You forgot to mention why this shirt is actually good. So if I were to make a shirt about investment bankers or something (adding all the random distress marks and such because thats soo cool) but I made it out of silk and diamonds would it be a cool shirt? no. It would just be expensive.

An amazing week for the select line. Anybody who can't see the theme in it and is critical of it because of that is just straight up ignorant of design and art and all that. Most of the beautiful shirts on this site are a lot more than a touch of clever humor. They are just gorgeous. The best ones are. Sure, there are some super smart shirts, like Communist Party, but then there are shirts like this that are amazingly designed. I mean, I'm freaking broke. I just spent a ton of money on tuition. But this shirt was worth it. I completely agree with bananaphone.

actually, yes, static - if you made a strong design based around investment banking it would be cool.

there's nothing random about this design. that's a lack of aesthetic recognition on your part. and confusing faux-collage as hipset A&F rendering. that distressing isn't random it represents the damage a package takes in shipping.

this design has great balance, nice image decisions, it makes the eye follow an interesting path and has good color choice.

is overnight shipping boring? I think that's the point - that fleming made an interesting design out of a relatively boring subject. strikes me as a challenge the artist made for himself and overcame - which is a) the point of the select tees - for successful artists to do what THEY want and b) seems so anti-threadless that it becomes a statement of it's own.

art is subjective, he chooses to dislike the shirt and not understand why you do, the same for the opposing side.

I like it, I understand it's content. I just won't buy it. Thats were I stand.

I understand the tee, like the design, but it's not a wear for me...

Next time you get something from UPS or FedEx take a look at the barcode & label then look at the lower portion of the shirt. Also xPress Pack and the deliveryman? How could someone not get it? I definately want it on my next order. I'm just waiting since I don't like ordering just 1 tee at a time.

This is one of my favorite shirts, and anyone who disagrees will be first against the wall when the revolution comes.
