A couple questions actually.

Are the colors limited to a certain set of pantones?
answered

Are we limited to x amount of UV color screens in a design?
answered

Can simulated process be mixed with UV colors underneath?
answered :"I got my answer, for anyone else who is interested and runs into this issue.

YES. Threadless can print over top of UV inks, but they cannot print UV inks on top of other printed layers."

I know I should ask the staff through the general contact, but this late in the game with the submissions for the loves geeks competition due tomorrow, I don't think I'd get an answer in enough time if I went through the staff contacting channels.

Sorry. UV ink came after my time -- I don't know how Threadless handles it yet.

That usually has a full business day's wait, so I wouldn't get my answer until Thursday, and the competition closes tomorrow night.

I gave in and sent the question through proper channels, but I shall bump this in hopes that this format works more quickly.

Trying to think back to issues we had with my Secrets of the City print. I know I wasn't able to have gradiented uv colours.

I'm pretty sure there are specific uv colours (I'm not 100 % sure about that though). Don't worry too much about that stuff though, let threadless sort it out later if they need to.

Olie had a print that used 4 uv inks. I'm pretty sure it'd be sweet as long as it all still totalled 8 colours.

Thanks for clearing those up.
My concern now is primarily with laying UV ink down, THEN doing a simulated process print over-top the UV ink.

here's my example

ah yeah. Not too sure how it would work. I'd sub that anyway though. Looks rad by the way.

Thanks!

By the way, I really dig that (and your myriad other) print(s)!

I may just put a disclaimer in the first comment that the design could be submitted as a fully simulated process print without the UV magic, just to cover my bases.
