this idea rocked the socks right off my feet.
regarding the silhouettes on the back, individually they're cool, but in the context of a crash they don't seem to flow well. to me it looks like either...
a.) gravity was switched off for a few awkward seconds
b.) (in reverse) he's flying through the air to catch the big wheel and bring it in for an amazing one handed landing.
and regarding the main image...
the yellow lines (highlights?) seem to end abruptly, have you tried giving them a taper like the white lines?
also, a few of the black lines seem a little too thin. the different strokes look a little off balanced...then again maybe it's just me.

honestly i think the first design is stronger - it's cleaner. also the second design seems to lack a visual hierarchy. i think part of the issue is the text layout.
