When I saw this design, I really wanted a Monty Python and the Holy Grail reference that was covert, but there wasn't one. Sad. Unless it's the average wing span of an unlaiden swallow, but I thought it was air-speed velocity...I can't really remember the line, lol.

there is a reference in there that is way past Monty Python - I believe the person did go to college with some members of Monty Python though

If you can't appreciate a Douglas Adams reference when you see one, you don't deserve to get what you want.

This is one of my favourite new t-shirts. Plus, I wore it out at the weekend, and got loads of comments and compliments. Nice one.

Where's the Douglas Adams reference? It's been a while since I read the HHGTTG series.

Or is it to do with Last Chance to See?

I can't remember which one of the HHGTTG books it is. Arthur learns to fly (by throwing himself at the ground and missing). He learns this on an alien planet, and eventually he learns to talk to the birds. But then he discovers that birds are actually INCREDIBLY BORING, and all they ever talk about is windspeeds and vectors and flying conditions and wingspans and things. The problem is that once you've learned to speak bird, you can't block them out, and they talk all the bloody time.

S'funny. And it's a totally excellent shirt. The pink is nowhere near as bright as it looks in the product pic.

Ohhh! Yeah, that's when he's crashed on the proto-Earth with Ford and the Golgafrinchams, isn't it?

Mmm, I was pleased with how mine looked when it arrived. All my worry was for nothing!
