So, jeez, my last designs were 6 years ago PLEASEDON'TLOOKATTHEMTHEYAREHORRIBLE, but I'm back, 6 years later, after art school, after a couple years as a freelancer and gallery artist trying my hand at it again.

My problem was, I have never been terribly confident with the digital medium. I work so much more intuitively with physical material, my weapon of choice being watercolor. But, I've been asked by various small companies to design shirts and I'm embarrassingly backed away from those because I just couldn't quite figure out how to translate my painting style into something that could work on a shirt.

Anyhow, here's what I've been up to/anyhow, this is what I make:

And, here's what I finally came up with in the digital medium:

I got rid of the oval frame, and submitted this:

So, anyhow, I hope you guys think I'm worthy of being printed - Lord knows I've been here long enough! But, if not, it's cool. Me and digital were never meant to be, then.

So, I've just returned from a 10 week study abroad in Italy, and I'm in a big financial rut, so I've got a major sale going on in my shop:

Huge massive sale at my shop!. Everything is on sale. All prints are only $25, and all originals are 20-50% off!

Seriously. Everything is up for grabs. If I have a piece that you want, I'm so willing to negotiate a price.

Also... The 30 Paintings Book has been reduced to $20!

Plus, I've got a few other side items up for grabs:

Apple iBook G4

Wide Angle Zoom Lens for Canon EOS

International Nokia 1200 Vodaphone Phone

Vintage Rosina Ferragamo Schiavone Shoes

Thanks everyone... I'd appreciate this being circulated very much.
I've just come out of a computer design class and I've become much more comfortable with Illustrator and I'd like to get back into submitting designs. I've been working on a large group of paintings over here... which of those should I base a design off of to submit?

I'm thinking of either "Mother" or "Someone Else's Sunset." What do you guys think?
Since my 30 Paintings Project has been going so well, I've decided to sell prints of some of the more successful pieces to help support my income.

Also, I'd love critiques and comments from you Threadlessers on my work! I'm an aspiring illustrator now. Hooraaaayyyy.
Hey guys! It's been quite a while since I've shown my face around here...

Anyway, I've recently decided that I want to become an illustrator after I graduate with my BFA in painting and go to grad school for illustration (btw, any good schools?).

So I'm in an advanced painting class this semester doing an independent study and I've decided to create 30 paintings exploring techniques, media, and materials to build a portfolio as an illustrator for grad school (and to start taking commissions and market myself).

To the point! I've created a blog to update with my progress throughout the semester. I have EIGHT paintings uploaded so far... I really need the criticism, comments, cheering on, etc... general enthusiasm. Also links to artists I may like and so on.

30 Paintings Blog.

If you have livejournal, please add me! Otherwise, I will continue to update on here, as there is a massive amount of talented illustrators and designers here on ol Threadless. :D

PS: One of them, "Milk-Eyed Mender" is being printed in Curvy 05! It showcases the 100 best female illustrators and graphic designers. SWEET.
Velvetsamurai already really helped me by posting in her blog about my situation, and much to my pleasent surprise, a few of you have already donated some money.

If you guys don't remember the awesomeness of my cat, Toulouse, a picture might help you remember. He was about 2 months old here. Now he's 9 months old and huge!

Here's what's going on:

Toulouse has been really sick. We (me and the emergency vet I took him to yesterday) don't know what's wrong.

Here were his symptoms:

-vomiting
-little to no eating
-little to no drinking
-not um, pooping
-lethargic
-lost weight
-black poop
-slightly enlarged kidneys
-not himself at all
-uncomfortable/pain in the abdomen

The vet bill was $410.03. Of course, I'd pay as much as needed to see him better. He's only 9 months old and an exceptional cat and very very dear to me. I couldn't stand to lose him.

At the emergency vet, they took x rays and found that his kidneys were slightly larger than they should be, but nothing else. They gave him an injection of fluids because he was dehydrated, and a couple of other drugs. They wanted to keep him overnight, but I can't afford any more. So we're doing outpatient care. I'm giving him amoxicillin and pepcid twice a day. I think that's helping.

Anyway, I hate to put this out there, but I am extremely low on money. I'm losing my job next Friday and don't have anything else lined up yet. I can only pay $90 of that bill. I had no choice but to overdraft my account and try to pay it off over time, since the vet demanded money up front. And my parents won't help (don't even get me started on my conversation with my Dad in asking for a loan on the money).

If any of you feeling particularly generous, I would appreciate any donations to my paypal account: leliaeophelia@yahoo.com. If you want to lend me money and have me pay you back later, that can also work.

Some good news is that lately he's been improving a lot. He's finally eating (the only thing that works is tuna) and he's drinking a little bit. Over the past 24 hours he's gotten some of his energy back and is trying to be himself again (running around, being obnoxious, etc). I'm still pretty anxious about his condition, despite his improvement, but I don't think I'll need to take him to a vet again. He's an exceptional cat, and my best friend. He has more personality than I thought a cat could ever have. Videos of him are in my older blogs if you want an idea of how special he is.

Now the problem is the big gaping hole in my checking account. I'm $275 away from reaching that $410 (or rather, reaching $0). This means I can't buy gas, I can't buy food (I should be okay for a week or so though), or anything else until I reach a positive amount in my account. I don't have credit cards, but I just applied for one for emergencies like this.

I would greatly appreciate any help!!!

Not on Threadless, though. Sorry.

Anyone remember Gameyy? No? Well, he went off and began his own tshirt company over at Linty Fresh.

So yesterday he released one of his new shirts in girly tees and also in hoodies. Your's truly got to model the girly tee (and keep it :D).

More pictures on the product page and more coming later on his blog.
Crayon room. You know the drill.
Played it last night at a friend's house. It's sooo beautiful! I'm a huge Zelda fan and I never thought anything could surpass the awesomeness of Ocarina of Time... but I must say: Twilight Princess is the best of them all!

And the controller! Wow!

Awesomefriggintacular.
It's about time! This is gorgeous!
