I've just come out of a computer design class and I've become much more comfortable with Illustrator and I'd like to get back into submitting designs. I've been working on a large group of paintings over here... which of those should I base a design off of to submit?

I'm thinking of either "Mother" or "Someone Else's Sunset." What do you guys think?

Thanks everyone!

Yeah, #17 I could see as well. Coterie... maybe. That would be a difficult one to emulate in vectors. Thanks!

Thanks!

hmm. I think I'll be doing "someone else's sunset." Colors will be difficult to decide though.

I agree with most about doing #11, Coterie. It has an interesting narrative. It's whimsical, funny, beautifully drawn, and I believe would lend itself to a vector drawing.

If you don't know already, threadless is now doing simulated process printing and other print and ink treatments. See submission kit, print techniques.

In simulated process it's not just CMYK. They can do way more than 4 colors and the screen colors are picked to maximize the design's colors. I found some cool examples of simulated process where they show you the screen colors one by one. Just scroll over the 1st color and then the 2nd, etc., to see the color sequence.

Yeah, definitely Coterie. Someone Else's Sunset sounds like a good decision. And maybe Conquered Credence.

thanks guys!

Mm, yeah, perhaps Coterie might work. I'm having trouble seeing it as a vector though, because it's so much about the background and texture... but I may give it a shot!

And thanks Quister for the resources!!
