Hey folks, I have 2 subs up for voting at the moment.
I'm going to run a variation of the old guess-the-score competition on both subs. The winners will receive a super limited edition copy (1 of 40) of an a2 size poster of this: ![]() Entitled Submarine Life, printed on heavy duty glossy poster paper. To enter please vote AND comment and then leave your guesses in this thread. ![]() WINNER: KRACKABOOM ![]() So I'm assing around with this atm... Still far from finished. It needs moar plastic sheen and neon glow. The idea is to do a sorta fake 70s-80s prog/geek metal album cover design. The album would be titled 'The Geek Will Inherit The Earth' or 'Mental Warfare' I might include song names or tour dates on the back. ![]() On Friday I played my last show with the band I've been in for the past couple of years, Supercharger, before I move over to work in Vancouver BC for a while. Basically we do 'supercharged' versions of bad 80s new romantic & electro pop tunes with a few goth, & punk songs thrown in for good measure... It was an awesome night. Band dress code was '80s Metal'... A large contingent of our audience without meaning to or not seemed to be adhering to this theme also, or maybe thats just Christchurch, anyway a fun time was had by all. Thankfully the rest of the night wasnt documented because it basically entailed a me & my sifty mates going round a string of bars that decreased in quality as the night progressed & we got drunker, culminating in... well lets just say it was pretty seedy & resulted in the most awful hangover when I finally got home at 6am. Set list for Friday was as follows: 1: COMPUTER GAMES - Mi Sex 2: VIDEO KILLED THE RADIO STAR - The Buggles 3: ANT MUSIC - Adam & The Ants 4: HIT ME BABY ONE MOAR TIME - Britneyyyy 5: LIKE A VIRGIN - Madonna 6: DIRTY DEEDS - ACDC 7: GOD SAVE THE QUEEN - Sex Pistols 8: ME MYSELF I - Joan Armatrading 9: LOW - original song by Slim 10: GIRLS ON FILM - Duran Duran 11: I GOT YOU - Split Enz 12: BOYS DON’T CRY - The Cure 13: I LIKE - Original song by Pumpkinhead 14: KIDS IN AMERICA - Kim Wild 15: HOLIDAY IN CAMBODIA - Dead Kennedys 16: ACE OF SPADES - Motorhead 17: WHITE WEDDING - Billy Idol Apparently someone recorded the set so if any of it is remotely listenable I may just post some aural evidence a little later on. Also, if anyone has yet to score & comment on these I'd appreciate any last minute love you kind folks may be able to muster: ![]() ![]() ![]() Holy crap that was a mission but i think this is ready to sub. |
