Thumbnail Troubles

I'm yet to figure out the constraints of this forum but hopefully someone can help me out.:

I am ready to upload a few submissions. The problem is that i can't get my thumbnail images less than 4kb when they're already 100 by 70 pixels. How can i reduce them but still keep the required dimensions?

1. What program are you using to save your images?

2. Make SURE that you're saving them in .gif format

3. If you're using photoshop or illustrator, use the "Save for web" option in the file menu. That will decrease your file size quite a bit.

Only problem with that xiv is that you're saving it as a JPG... the thumbnails NEED to be in GIF format (and I'm pretty sure that's where they're having trouble)!

i forgot about the gif thing...
