I'm starting to like American Football! I know, but I'm English. I still need to get it though. I only kind of get it.

funny, i was an american football fan all my life until i played rugby.

now i think it's one of the most boring games around.

unless the chicago bears play. if you go to a game, go to a bears game, 2 hours early so you can tailgate with the locals. best time ever

you'll get it... and sometimes watching college football is more fun... or at least the tailgating is.

I played rugby but didn't like it much. And i saw the bears play on TV not too long ago. That was the turning point.

What do you mean by tailgating??

it's the 'pre party' if you will. basically, people hang out in front of/by the stadium, drink piss, barbq food and have a great time.

rugby is the best team sport, imo. i've played soccer, football, baseball basketball hockey, i boxed for a bit too, nothing compares in the overall fitness level on needs to succedd and the reliance on your teammates to cover your ass when you're tired. just an opinion.

Rugby is so tiring. Thats why you play 10 minutes less than a football match.

thing about america is, despite the movies and stereotypes, it's really a great place. it's massive, first of all, and right now, it's almost 70 degrees here, but say, in chicago, it's like 20. point being, there's a wide variety of climates and temperatures from state to state, kinda. downside, most american's think america IS the world.

How wrong they are. Have they never heard of places like The Netherlands and Belgium

it's not that they haven't heard of them, it's just that, people get caught up a little too much here. and, like i said, there's a lot of america to see and experience. two states are quite a distance away from the rest in themselves. im not saying they're right. not saying you're wrong. it's just been my experiences with those folks who unfortunately had the opportunity travel.

again, rugby, has literally taken me around the world. i'm fortunate for that.

I'm making the opposite switch - grew up on American football, and getting much more interested the past few years in actual football (aka American "soccer"). Just wish American fans had the patience for it - maybe if it had more car crashes.

there aren't any american sports which end in 0-0 tie and the fans are happy. so it's just a foreign concept to most yanks.

Yeah, I guess the idea that a 3-2 win could be called "a goalfest" is a little outside of the American experience.

I don't know, though - at least the sides I watch, the fans aren't too happy with a 0-0 draw either - the Celtic fans sure weren't yesterday

All about me

Basically, I am a Threadless addict as I am addicted to Threadless and if your addicted to something you are called an addict. You make me spend all of my money and all the money I get I somehow manage to get it directly to you. You should be gratefull, I could be eating it. My dream is to work for Threadless but, realistically, the chances of that happening are slim. I am also growing to love naked and angry and on the subject, I also love to be naked. Awesome!

I'm at a point in my life where i need to decide what iw ant to do with the rest of it. Exams are basically over and done with so nows the time to start thinking ahead. I want to be a designer but i think thats will just stay as more of a hobby, and unless i get employed by Threadless (as if), i will probably have to go into designing within engineering. Havnt decided yet. Im getting interested in computer programming so hopefully i can learn that but at the moment i have a long 8 week summer ahead of me in which i need something to occupy my time; dont know what yet.
