Chelly is the BOMB!!!
I received a glorious package from Chelly yesterday that completely made my day. It included a lovely knitted small purse, black and hot pink with what could either be a lighting bolt or the state of florida. Either way I love it!

It also had a lovely card, a hologram "you make life bearable" card, a magic eight ball and a stuffed bat which my fiance immediately stuck the fridge.

I will send pics later tonight. I got so busy yesterday I forgot why I had my camera charging :(
I will think of something to send you in return :)

it should be noted that if you want the purse to be a scarf, you just unravel the pink yarn. ;)

so glad you liked everything! sorry the lighting bolt wasn't recognizable. it was my first. the second went to impossiblejosh in florida, so maybe the two of you are yarn-spirit-friends.

i wanted to send you a bunch of things that have nothing to do w/ weddings, because i'm sure you are absolutely up to your ears in it.

Sorry, I meant crochet. I got 2 hours sleep so I'm not thinking straight.

What's funny is that my thought process went like this: "Chelly does that thing with the yarn that I don't do. I knit. Therefore Chelly knits."

haha yeh, i should have remembered that you knew, because we've talked about it before.

for those in the dark, a quick overview...

knit - uses two weapon-like pointy metal sticks; finished product allows for movement; examples include socks, ski-masks, sweaters

crochet - uses one hooked metal stick; finished product allows for variety of shapes; examples include doilies, blankets, scarves

haha I'm back! sorry work crap.

I thought it was a lighting bolt, my mom pointed out florida and now it's all I can see. Still very likable. Nice tip about the pink yarn. I will enjoy it as a purse for now and see how it goes.

My aunt tried to teach me to crochet I can manage one very long line of yarn and that's it... could never make a second to create anything.
