I never believed in the unlucky number 13. I liked it actually, thought it had its charms. Friday the 13th, unlucky, Nah whatever. That was until today.

This is how my day has started and it's only 9:30 am.
First at around 8 a.m. there is a knock on the door, its the electric company letting me know they have to turn off my power. Normally this would be fine, except I had to leave in twenty minutes and my hair was still soaking wet from the shower. Nice.

So I get in the car and pop in my retainer that I had forgotten to wear the night before, and it cracks my bonding on my teeth, so now I have a broken tooth. Nice.

Two minutes later I get a phone call, my boyfriend has a business meeting at ten and managed to spill an entire cup of coffee from head to toe. I turn around to get him clothes. Nice.

I'm now late for work. I get here and go downstairs to my dentist (yes convenient) only to find out that he is out of town until Tuesday. So I have a big crack in my tooth until Tuesday. Nice.

Then I get my tax paperwork from the "tax guy" only to realize that a POSSIBLE scenario we added to my account, putting $1000 into an IRA (which I needed anyway) for my side business, was left in. We can't get in touch with him, so now I need to come up with a grand to put into an IRA by Monday, or I get penalized. Nice.

(Okay so this was something I was planning on doing anyway, just wasn't planning on doing it for this tax season and I only have to come up with like $200 to cover it because I have the rest, but still annoying)

All and all I no longer laugh at the number 13 and I'm thinking this day isn't going to get much better. I'm considering cutting my losses and going home after lunch.
