Technically Quebecois, but C.R.A.Z.Y. or Bon Cop Bad Cop (which is actually bilingual).

Mon Oncle!

One of my favorite films ever, with Jaques Tati.

I also quite liked A Very Long Engagement and They Came Back (it was weird and creepy. Like a zombie movie with absolutely no gore).

I've seen C.R.A.Z.Y., which I liked a lot.

Ah, I don't know how I forgot Haute Tension. A great movie, but they did a horrible job of translating it when they brought it to U.S. theaters.

les visiteurs was awesome - the american remake blows
(as do most american remakes of french films)

rivieres pourpres (crimson rivers)
l'empire des loups

johnny halyday movies:
l'homme du train

jeanne-pierre jeunet (director):
delicatessan (awesome movie)
la cite des enfants perdu (city of lost children)
amelie

banlieue 13 (about parkour - amazing stunt work)
