  • Only suggestion is to try any t-shirt color other than white- all the bright colors on such a stark background isn't a very cohesive look. :)

  • I agree with dcshaub- The concept is fun, but the graphic is a little too rough around the edges. If you clean it up a bit and sharpen the lines I think it'll be less confusing to look at. :)

  • Okay, I think the problem you've got here is the actual concept- I can't tell if it's just "butterfly pattern" or if it's supposed to be butterflies in the tummy? As in, a pun on nervousness. If it's only a pattern, I think you should revise your idea. Not many shirts that get chosen are simple, pretty patterns- most are clever visual puns or very unusual, strange images.

The color is also part of the problem, I think. the butterflies are extremely saturated and do not look good on muted colors like soft violet and mint. I think you should go with either a light turqouise shirt, a black shirt, or change the color/saturation of the butterflies.

If this is supposed to be a visual pun with regard to butterflies in your stomach, you may want to center the butterflies in that area and try for a sort of x-ray effect.

Let me know what you have in mind for the concept and I'll try to add more input. :)

  • Looking for as much constructive feedback as possible! This one didn't go through the first time, but I think the idea has merit, so I'd love to try it again.rnrnPlease don't be shy! Any ideas you have about style, color, and layout will be deeply appreciated. The only thing that I want to stay the same is the concept of a cat and a dog in love. Otherwise, go nuts! :D

  • Directly inspired from said work, of course. I assumed the reference would be obvious, but for those of you who don't know, yes, this was inspired by Peter S. Beagle's "The Last Unicorn", an outstanding book/movie/recently a graphic novel as well. :)
