Question about ACT registration

I like to procrastinate. I have yet to register for the SAT or ACT and my junior year is almost over (they recommend we take it twice during our junior year but I'm not). So now I am going to register to take both in June, but I have one problem. Should I take the ACT with writing or without?

Yes! The SAT does have a writing section. And I'm pretty sure the counselor at my school who came to our homeroom said we don't really need to take the ACT writing section, but I wasn't paying attention too much. >_>;

I would take it, some colleges require it. I haven't taken it either, I am taking it twice in my senior year and studying over the summer.

why are you taking both to start out with? Most people I know chose based on whether they were better at math or writing, or only tried the ACT if they did poorly on the SAT. I'd take them as early as possible, though. I took the SAT in April, and since I only needed to take it once, it was a HUGE relief not to have to think about it anymore. You don't want to be worrying about improving your scores in the middle of senior year, when you also have a ton of schoolwork and college visits and apps.

I'm taking both because I go to a crazy school and they recommend it.
