i had so many dam toys when i was youg... hell, i still have a bunch.

the oldest one i can remember is a bright red firetruck, about a foot long. the lights and siren worked, made the sound of a diesel engin, and it would move foward untill it hit something. then it would spin in place a few times, and head into a different direction, untill it ran into something else. i also remember connectable. they were like hot wheels but they came in halfs, of thirds, you could interlock the different pieces onto various other cars/truck... they were crazy expensive... maybe thats why they didnt stay on the market too long. (i still have them, there kept in 3 different alf lunchboxes equipped with thermas)

That reminds me of the Very Hungry Caterpillar...an old children's book. I had a version that actually had a stuffed caterpillar with it. It was wonderful.

And on a side note, bluemagenta, I just noticed you're from Istanbul. On a sort of pointless connection comment, I'm traveling there in January with my a cappella group, the Tufts Beelzebubs [http://www.bubs.com]. Anything interesting you can suggest?

Oh man I definitely had a worm toy like that and I loved it.

For some reason one of my favorite toys was this circus puzzle. Oh, and I also got a toy from the hospital when I was a baby (a yellow dog with stitched on eyes) which I always liked, but my favorite toy ever was a stuffed rabbit named "chirpy" with a squeeky thing inside.

i had a rag doll. my nanna stole him from me one night when i slept over at her place. i know this because she also stole my brother's favourite toy and showed it to me hidden in her cupboard.

i never got it back :(
